How Cellenis® PRP Works

PRP is defined as an autologous concentrated preparation of platelets and their associated growth factors in a small volume of plasma and is thought to promote healing and regeneration. Clinicians use a small amount of the patient's blood, spin it in a centrifuge to separate the plasma containing the platelets, and reapply them in concentrated form during the same clinic visit.

Cellenis® PRP

  • Separator Gel is designed to capture up to 80% (+-9%) of the platelets.
  • Vacuum sealed with internally coated glass designed to prevent platelets from sticking to tube walls.
  • Cellenis PRP precisely draws blood at a pressure that prevents lysing of the cells.
  • Our proprietary Anti-coagulant (MNC7) further helps to reduce acidity and avert coagulation of platelets.
  • Cellenis PRP delivers non-activated platelets physically positioned on top of the gel.
  • It removed 99.9% of the RBC and removed 95% granulocytes, each typically associated with unwanted irritation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of Cellenis PRP?

This treatment may improve skin texture and tone, refine wrinkles and reduce scars such as acne or stretch marks while preserving a natural appearance. PRP can also be used to support hair growth when injected into the scalp. Visible results may take between 2-6 weeks and will vary between individuals³. This variance depends on factors such as general health, age, diet, smoking and skin type.

How many treatments are required?

This will be dependent on your individual situation. Often Cellenis® PRP treatment is performed in a series of three sessions, 3-6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments are recommended every 6-12 months for optimal long lasting results. Discuss your treatment plan with your healthcare professional.

What is the difference between PRP and dermal fillers?

Dermal filler is a foreign material designed to give volume and fill up lines in a specific area. But PRP can improve skin complexion, treat dermalogical conditions such as acne scarring, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles³.

What does the treatment involve?

Cellenis® PRP treatment is a quick and easy process:

  1. A blood sample is collected in 1 - 2 specially designed tubes.
  2. The tubes are then centrifuged for 10 minutes. During centrifugation, a patented gel within the tubes isolates PRP from other cells within the blood.
  3. Ready-to-use PRP is drawn up into a syringe and is now ready for application.
Can this treatment be used in conjunction with other treatment?

Clinical evidence has shown that combining PRP with other rejuvenation techniques, such as fillers, mesotherapy and laser treatments, induces a synergistic beneficial effect².

What are the side effects?

PRP treatment is generally well tolerated. The most common side effects include: local irritation or redness and mild to moderate swelling. Consult your healthcare professional if you have any questions or concerns.
